Dear Loyal OAD Readers,
We can't even pretend. We were not watching last night's game. Sure, we have seen the highlights and read the recaps. But instead of watching what was probably one of the best A's games ever, we were watching The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All. There is no excuse. There is no explanation. It was a pretty good episode, but Wes didn't even show up. Chris Harrison spent way too much time talking about "Man Code." And we don't even know if Jillian ends up getting engaged.
We are sorry.
Regards,
OAD
p.s. Go Oakland! We are going to the game tonight and hope last night's tremendous win gives the A's some momentum!
i, too, turned it off. it was too much. i even posted about my hatred for gio. http://themacinator.blogspot.com/2009/07/go-home-gio.html

My wife was watching that in the other room. I'd go in every once in a while and update her. "Bases are loaded and Matt Hollidays' up." Leave then room.
"Matt Holliday hit a grand slam. It's tied 13-13 and Cust is up with one out." Leave the room.
"Cust hit a home run." ect...
