We have always hated A-Rod. Like, really hated him. The entries on this blog from years and years ago back this up. So we aren't just piling on since it has been revealed (and admitted!) that A-Rod used steroids. Now, some part of us feels very vindicated. We always thought he was a phony and didn't believe his Mr. Perfect image for one second. Honestly, A-Rod was like the guy in the movie who seems really nice at the beginning and helps the old lady with her groceries but then ends up being a homicidal maniac. Yet, the fact is, another part of us is totally sad. It would have been so much better for this news to come out back when the Yankees were really hate-able. But they didn't even make the playoffs! For another thing, it makes it seem like everyone was using steroids (except Frank Thomas) and we are just going to have to live with it. Which feels crummy. It just does.
I don't buy it that A-Rod only used from 2001-2003. He said something like "to tell you the truth, I don't even know what I was using"!! This guy is a control freak-perfectionist-workaholic whose body is worth $500 million+ in baseball contracts. He didn't know what he was doing? He was just popping whatever pills came his way? The guy is so creepy and smarmy...the more he tries to be squeaky clean, the more gross he looks. Madonna, steroids...who does this remind us of? My boy Jose Canseco just about 20 years ago. At least Jose was a character! As they say on Battlestar Galactica, "all this has happened before, and shall happen again!

A-Rod knew what he was doing, and man he has the numbers to show for it!
Guy Ritchie is looking more appealing to Madonna at the moment, or
the cabana boy, or whoever happens to be around her who has a pulse.
Update:
Uh-Oh, looks like Miggy may steal some headlines!

You know, I really like the bubble that I live in where no one does steroids and everyone is just really talented.
